Before filming started, I obviously spoke with our director Frances [O’Connor], and did my research—reading Lucasta Miller’s The Brontë Myth and watching lots of recent films about the Brontës, like Sally Wainwright’s To Walk Invisible—and I sort of realized then that I had to let go of the idea of this being a biopic. There are no rules in this film. Once I realized that, it became so much more fun. Instead of sticking to the historical facts or going the classic Hollywood route of being “inspired by” the author’s life.

I bought this for my son with autism. He has issues with fabric textures and he loves this shirt. It is the second one I have purchased after such a good response with the first one. The fabric is soft and a little silky in texture so comfortable to wear with no scratchiness. He has a belly so the xxl tall covered it well and looks good on him. I will be buying more in other colors.

This is a great lightweight shirt. The first time I wore it, I moved a large pile of dirt with a wheelbarrow and I was amazed at how much cooler this shirt kept me compared to a typical t-shirt. I would definitely suggest ordering a size larger than you typically wear unless you prefer your shirts to be tight.
