But the business took off and Carman quickly relocated into a bigger space on Yorkville Avenue. When Carman’s landlord threatened to double the rent after five years, he called up a friend who works in real estate to help him find his next space. The 3,000 square foot space at 120 Cumberland Street became a local hotspot where many a Torontonian remembers schlepping to buy their first pair of premium jeans. Miraculously, the same real estate contact helped Carman find the Over the Rainbow’s glitzy new home in the newly-renovated Manulife Centre.

I ordered three of these shirts to wear for my armed security job where I have to wear a Kevlar vest under my uniform all day. I’m a big guy and had to get 5xl and they fit as advertised and I was pleasantly surprised. Wearing the shirts under my body armor all day has kept me cool and dry. While wearing normal cotton tee shirts I was miserable, but this type of shirts are awesome for that type of use. Hence the name I suppose.

I ordered a two-pack of these Slim Fit t-shirts and a two-pack of the Regular Fit t-shirts to compare and contrast. Both styles are made of the same thick cotton knit fabric, which is soft and substantial, but the fits are definitely different. These Slim Fit shirts are significantly tighter fitting in the stomach, arms, and chest area(s). The Regular Fit shirts are much looser in all three of these areas, especially the arms.
Compared to a Regular Fit I would categorize these as a Slim Fit not, a Snug Fit; they fit close to the body but not tightly enough to show something like muscle definition, if that’s what you’re looking for.
Overall the quality is nice, with minimal fading and only very minor shrinkage after laundering in cold water and putting in a medium dryer. Recommended if you like a close fitting, thick cotton t-shirt.
